We started Baseup because we were sick of watching good people get burned by bad sheds.
Founder Jim Prendergast spent years watching customers get stuck with kits they couldn't get past council, pushed into cookie-cutter designs that didn't suit their block, or left to untangle red tape all on their own. So we built the alternative.
We're not married to one shed brand; we shop around on your behalf to find the right fit for your site and your budget. Then we handle the whole job from there: certification, earthworks, the build, right down to the final bolt. Whatever you need it for- a home workshop, extra machinery storage, a granny flat, or a proper space to run your side hustle from- we've got a shed for it.

This isn't your bargain-bin backyard kit. Our sheds are engineered to Terrain Category 2, a higher wind and structural standard than many in the competition bother with
We use 'Z' section roof purlins and wall girts and bolt our frames together instead of just screwing them, so the whole structure holds firm rather than relying on the wall sheets to do the bracing (a shortcut we see all too often, and one that never ends well down the track). And we skip the long knee braces and opt for stronger steel and bigger brackets to give you a clear span inside the shed, allowing you to fit in those taller items against the side of your shed..
